NLEAP Project Data collection
The NLEAP project data collection was held in the study areas of Nagoda, Vauniya, Kothmale, Negombo, Balangoda, Bibile, Puttalam, Trincomalee and Welikanda. Students from the University of Peradeniya and the University of Ruhuna have participated in the project data collection under the supervision of the research team.
Focus group discussions and interviews with civil society and government officials
The project team conducted focus group discussions and interviews in the study areas of Nagoda, Vauniya, Kothmale, Negombo, Balangoda, Bibile, Puttalam, Trincomalee and Welikanda. The discussions were made with civil society and public officials regarding the language policy and language policy implementation in Sri Lanka.
Publication of the book
The findings of the research project will be published in the form of a book entitled “Implementing Constitutional Policy of Language in a Multi-Cultural Society.”
