“Human Rights and Reconciliation in a Post Conflict Multicultural Society” is an academic and research partnership between the Postgraduate Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences (PGIHS) of the University of Peradeniya and the Department of Culture, Religion and the Social Sciences of the University of South-eastern Norway (USN). The Project is funded by a grant from the Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Education (SIU) under the Norwegian Partnership Programme for Global Academic Cooperation (NORPART). The work of the Project which will be carried out under four main areas, namely, student mobility, establishment of a master programme in Human Rights and Multiculturism, staff exchanges and joint research. The activities commenced in February 2017 with two students from PGIHS joining the MSc Programme in Human Rights at USN for one semester. The period of the project is from 2017 to 2021.
